Our Systems

An Ecologically Conscious Septic System

Modern projects require modern wastewater solutions. Architects and engineers play a key role in specifying systems that meet today’s environmental standards, while contractors and developers need solutions that are reliable, cost-effective, and easy to implement. Understanding the Hydro-Action system early helps streamline coordination across all project teams and ensures compliance with current regulatory requirements.

A Smarter, Site-Ready Wastewater Solution

Conventional septic systems are increasingly unsuitable due to soil limitations, environmentally sensitive sites, and evolving regulations. Studies estimate that traditional systems are inappropriate for nearly two-thirds of U.S. land area. Hydro-Action® systems are engineered to address these challenges directly. By producing cleaner effluent more efficiently — even on constrained or difficult sites — Hydro-Action offers a scalable, dependable solution that reduces environmental impact while minimizing long-term maintenance. It’s proven green technology designed to perform in real-world conditions.

A) Pretreatment Waste Tank

Wastewater first passes through a septic (pretreatment) tank, where solids are reduced before entering the treatment unit.

B) Aerobic Treatment Unit ATU

The Aerobic Treatment Unit is the core of the system. Air is injected through flexible air lines and diffuser assemblies, supplying oxygen that allows aerobic bacteria to thrive. These bacteria break down waste naturally — without chemicals or filters.

C) Clear Odorless Effluent

The oxygenated effluent flows into a conical clarification chamber, where remaining solids settle and are returned for further treatment. This process produces clear, odorless effluent.

Treated effluent is discharged via:
A dosing tank for subsurface drip systems (such as TurtleDrip), or A pump tank for timed or on-demand dispersal to a gray water cistern or traditional drain field — If needed.
