Planning & Preparation

Proper planning ensures your new system performs efficiently, meets regulatory requirements, and integrates smoothly into your project. Whether you’re building new or upgrading an existing septic system, early preparation helps avoid delays, redesigns, and unexpected costs.

Our systems are designed to perform across a wide range of site conditions, including challenging environments. For example, we offer tank solutions for high water table areas, traffic-bearing applications, and installations requiring deep burial lines. Planning ahead allows the system to be properly selected, sized, and approved efficiently.

Step 1 | Site Evaluation

Every project begins with an evaluation of site conditions. Soil type, lot size, groundwater levels, and available dispersal area are reviewed to determine the appropriate system configuration. This step ensures the system will perform reliably and comply with local regulations.

Step 2 | System Selection & Design

Based on site conditions and projected water usage, the appropriate system is selected and integrated into the project design. Wastewater Works, Inc. provides an Engineer’s Package to assist with system specifications, plan revisions, and technical documentation required for approval.

Step 3 | Permitting & Approvals

Once the system is incorporated into the plans, required submissions are made to the county or local authority. Early coordination with engineers and regulators helps streamline the approval process and reduces the need for revisions.

Step 4 | Installer Coordination

Our systems are installed by trained and qualified licensed installers. Wastewater Works, Inc. works with builders and installers to ensure proper scheduling, system placement, and coordination with other site work.

Step 5 | Installation Readiness

Before installation begins, the site is prepared for tank placement, access, and utilities. This includes confirming electrical service, clear access for equipment, and alignment with the approved plans. Proper preparation ensures a smooth, efficient installation process.

Planning for Long-Term Performance

Thoughtful planning not only simplifies installation, but also supports long-term system performance, regulatory compliance, and homeowner peace of mind. With the right preparation, our systems deliver reliable wastewater treatment from day one.
